Mars Atlas provides an immersive experience for astronomy enthusiasts through its interactive 3D globe of Mars.

The application allows users to manipulate the globe using pinch and finger gestures, enhancing the exploration of Martian geography. As users zoom in, additional labels emerge, revealing finer details of various features. A double tap on these labels grants access to more comprehensive information about each feature.

Mars Atlas presents the current phase, axial tilt, and central meridian of Mars based on the user’s selected location and time, accurately rendering these elements on the globe. A notable 'Globe' mode enables users to rotate Mars for a holistic view. The searchable feature database facilitates easy navigation to specific locations on the globe. Additionally, users can deactivate the phase display for a clearer overall perspective of Mars.

The application permits adjustments to date, time, and location settings, with a real-time mode that synchronizes with the present moment. Users can also display the globe with either the north or south pole at the top or inverted positioning to accommodate various telescope views.

Mars Atlas includes over 1,600 named features along with data from six spacecraft that have explored the Martian surface. Users can efficiently navigate chronological observations by swiping left or right in the phase view to transition between days.
